just wondering if a 2jz front sump will bolt up to the 1jz motor if not is there some where i can find a kit or what do i need to look at doing to move the sump to the front. If the 2jz sump does fit how hard is it to install in any all help would be great

i would think u would need the front sump oil pickup, the first alloy piece of sump and the oilpan. Other than that, should be all but someone should chime in

Pretty certain 2JZ and 1JZ are interchangable.

Are both sumps from a gte engine, as a non gte engine does not have the oil return for the turbo's in the alloy section, some people have drilled & welded theres in if it didn't have one, but better to get the correct one from the start if you can ...

Also you will need the oil baffle / seperator plate, as i think they are different from front to a rear sump, but should come with bits if someone is selling one anyway ...

Very very common to do this.

You'll need the upper (alloy) sump, the lower (steel) pan, the baffle plate, the pickup, the dipstick, and the dipstick tube.

Some bolts may differ (they do with the 1UZ), however you can buy them from any bolt shop if you get stuck.

Plenty of guys there have bought Aristo 2JZ's (front sumps) and need a rear sump to swap.
