I have a spare second set of turbos and noticed they are also marked A 8.8
Mine looks like Q 1 4 A

Looking at my spare set, I can't find anything like that on them. Maybe they have been rebuilt and marked by whoever rebuilt them?

That's what I thought at first, that perhaps they've been rebuilt. But like I said my spare set had markings in the very same spot, and the markings on both sets of turbos are embossed.

Hmm.. I think you should post them to me to test.. ya know.. just to be safe! haha ;)
I had a look at the ones in the car right now and there aren't any markings like that either?
