Hey fellas,
I've just bought a JZZ30 off a mate. However this morning on the way to work I had smoke bellowing out of the engine bay. After I pulled over and lifted the bonnet there was trans oil all around the front air dam, the overflow bottle was boiling and after it was slightly cooler I checked the radiator it was full of transmission oil. It isn't engine oil as the dipstick or oil cap showed no evidence of milky contamination.
The a/m transmission cooler is air to air so I can't explain how transmission oil contaminated the coolant unless it was a duel radiator.
So my question is, do these run a duel engine/trans radiator? Or is the fan hydrostatic?

the factory auto trans fluid cooler is situated in the lower tank of the radiator, u will notice 2 small hoses going into the lower tank. Possibly the inner auto cooler has corroded and is now pushing auto fluid into the radiator

Yes I know that Pete, I'll be reverse flushing the radiator & engine. Auto trans oil change, flush the a/m PWR auto cooler, will be doing a minor service on the car while I'm there as it has been neglected from the previous owner for quite a while.
