What head gasket should I be using for a bore size of 86.5mm...I have had people say I can use the stock 86.0mm head gasket, and others saying to use an 87mm gasket...can anyone confirm and give a definitive answer :-)

Thanks.

Standard MLS gasket is 88mm, no problem with 1mm over or in your case, 0.5mm overbore.

By any chance do you know what the HG thickness is after the head has been torqued down. I measured the head gasket out of the box and it measures 1.8mm. Just wanting to determine what the crush/squish on the HG would be?

Haven't measured but i'd assume 0.5mm crush to make it a 1.3mm gasket.

1/2JZ stuff is easy - just check clearances.
