Hey guys,

Car is having weird problems. Basically giving it shift hard and it starts to die, revs sit in one spot, and very slowly drop, lots of missing, but nothing too violent, just a shaky motor that feels as though its about to die, as if its getting no fuel. hold your foot flat and it just stays like that, get out of it and back into it straight away and its fine. doesnt do it every time, but quite frequently.

had a couple of loose wires under the bonnet (o2 sensor wiring) but moved and taped them up. so now im at a loss?

no boost leaks because guage reads full boost even when its spluttering.
not coil packs or plugs because it only does it on hard shifts, not all the time
has half a tank of fuel, didnt think surge would be an issue with this much fuel
fuel pump is 044, it may still be running off the factory fuel pump controller, i understand these can be an issue, but dont know if this is a common symptom for it?? why is it only doing it on shifts? if you nail it, lift off, then get back on it, doesnt seem to do it, only when actually shifting hard (the hard jolt might have something to do with it)?

Any ideas?

Cheers

Fuel starvation, fuel filter, partially blocked pickup, what revs does it do it at Tony?
Rev limit?
cheers David

Auto Soarers cut lots of ignition when changing gears to smooth the changes (the 'farting' noise that people refer to).

This kinda sounds like similar thing but more extreme. Maybe the ECU isn't detecting gear changes properly? Just a thought.

I'd be looking at the transmission, and the condition of the fluid.

Sounds like a faulty solenoid though.
