Just got car a few weeks ago it was good but has started idling at around 1800rpm when in park or neutral even when the motor is warmed up. Would this just be due to the idle being set high or something else?

Hi. Checklist.

1. Idle could be set too high, should be a screw on the throttle body. Check and adjust.

2. Intake Leak after throttle body. Check for leaks and fix.

3. Faulty ISCV (Idle Speed Control Valve), Try another one.

Check all three then get back to us.

Before you start adjusting base idle's do a fault code check, turn the car off bridge the TE1 & E1 terminals under the bonnet, check your dash for fault code flashes & then start the car this will bring about a base idle setting & if its still idling high then adjust the idle ..

I wouldn't touch the screw on the throttle body, its not likely to have adjusted itself in the time you have owned it, I would be looking at the ISCV first.
