hey all, im new to soarers.

the car in question is a TT auto soarer, the brake booster is stuffed and needs to be replaced, the brake feel is cushy and you have to pump it to get a real hard pedal. Im wondering if there is any way this could cause an issue on idle?

the car idles at 700rpm as it should, but you hear it mis randomly, this happened after a mechanic did a 'service' and decided to clean down the motor to get rid of oil, when you drive the car sometimes it runs ok but mostly it feels like its holding back. I have done the FP to B+ test and it made the voltage 13.5 on the fuel pump (it was at 9.7v) but that didnt help the idle issues.

what else should i be checking? the ecu plug was covered in oil, as was a plug between plenum and head (plugged into a part bolted to side of head halfway back) i have cleaned the il out of these.

please help....

ps, car has new coil packs and plugs (spark and coil pack plugs)

If you have to pump the pedal check for air in your brake fluid.
If the mechanic has washed the motor check the coils for water and corrosion on the terminals then check to see if the spark plugs are cracked.
Do the same for injector plugs also.
