Hi guys, noticed while under my car, there is dampness of oil on the sump which looks like its coming harmonic balancer. Could this be the front oil seal? IF so, how hard is it to replace?

Check your power steering, quite often it will leak and go all over the front of the motor and under the car.

I'm having the same issue right now, and the front oil seal is the very first thing i'll be looking at.

I thought my rear seal had gone, but after cleaning and tracing it I found it was leaking from the rear of the left cam cover, and dribbling all the way down to the bottom of the bell housing! Tightened up all the bolts on the cam cover, replaced the PCV, and not a drop since.

My second soarer had a failed oil pressure regulator just near the air-con compressor, not common but might be worth a look
