I just finished my TT swap i started the car and it idles VERY high. When I try to drive the car its very sluggish and wont rev over 2000rpm without cutting out and dumping fuel. From what i understand this is a very common problem. I took my IAC Valve off and blocked it off and from there manually adjusted the throttle but its still doing the same thing. Can someone help me out with this.

Hi Vincent,

Have you checked out the MAP sensor? Made sure its connected properly to a vaccuum line and also plugged in. Make sure it has a nice 5v power line etc.

You obviously got the TT ECU running in the swap, have you made sure its ok as well?

Have you checked the diagnostic connector for error codes, this is extremely helpful. Hopefully when they did the swap they hooked up your engine and other warning lights to the dash.

As you have done a swap you will have to use the dianostics port in the engine bay.

The map sensor is fine and im pretty sure its hooked up to a vacuum line like its supposed to be. I just noticed that the plug thats supposed to supply the IAC valve was not getting power and being that this is in a silvia im not sure on how to go about wiring up the check engine light but i will rig something up hopefully to check this.
