Hello,

I'm removing my oil re-location/cooler kit which is on my Soarer ( the thing keep's leaking) but that's not the point.

I have removed most of the kit except the oil re-location module (where the oil filter would be in its factory position, on the side on the engine).

The problem I have is that I cant removed the re-location module. I have jacked the car up and tried to loosen it, its really hard to get to.

I have added a photo of the re-location module (not of my car but similar).

How can I remove it? any ideas????

Put bolts in the pipe holes then use a lever between the bolts to get it to turn.

You won't be able to get bolts in the holes (well at least not very far) as it will be a tapered thread for the oil line fittings.

Blake, you said the nuts were just spinning when you tried to undo the hoses, what ones were you trying to undo? The ones I have circled in the picture are the ones, that takes the entire nipple out of the sandwich plate so nothing can spin while you undo them.

If you are just going to ditch it, then the easiest way to budge the plate would be some persuasion in the direction of travel with a hammer on one of the ridges if you oil filter tool won't do it.+++ jpeg +++ 325280 +++ Upload +++

Yeah, use a bit of hardwood or put some cloth on the end of a flat bladed screwdriver, then give it a tap.

Put a ring spanner between the two hose fittings and lever one against the other to remove.
I had the same problem with leakage on mine till I got it tight enough.
The other problem you might have once the sandwich plate is removed is that you probably have a thread adapter screwed onto the threaded fitting that the oil filter screws onto. You might be able to unscrew it using mutli-grips, if you can get them in there.....

failing that get a big flat long nose screw driver (or just something with a flat face) and using a hammer hit it around in the direction it unscrews.

its how i take off all my oil filters

Ok, I got the REAL photo on my car.

So does that red line mean where the kit ends?

yeah that black sandwich plate/block is your adaptor. a large shifter would be good for your one to tighten it

I mean fixed by replacing it. No more leaking!
