For a fair comparison you would have to factor in the cost of the petrol to do 2 trips forth and back to a hose repair place (for drop off and pickup)
You live in Sydney and assuming you don't live in the woods you should be able to find a hose repair place within 15km or so.
60km Worth of traveling will be about $10 worth of fuel which you should add on top of the hose repair quote, if they can do it while you wait and if you can wait $5. I don't know how much it will cost but I got a quote for $140 fitted, so I'd say just to repair a hose maybe just $80 or so.
Let's have a look at the Driftmotion solution.
$50 + $33.35 USD Shipping and Exchange rate comes to about $110 AUD.
You'll find that getting a hose made up locally is cheaper while you wait, plus no waiting for products to arrive from US.

It cost me $180 to get my hose rebuilt but I asked to get he lot done. The hose on driftmotion doesn't have the loop halfway which is used to hold it in place.
Just get yours rebuilt Sidney but expect to pay more than $80.
