they will love it, my standard turbos took 26psi for a short while, was rather scary haha, 2nd gear would roast tyres no worries, if hit a bump in 3rd rear would light up again

Woo good onya Jeff, they should love it being brand new!
When you get these, reckon you would be able to throw a dial indicator on the shaft and measure the play? So we can all work out how clapped out our turbos are compared to brand new ones.
It would be great to finally have some definitive numbers.

No worries Austen, I'll do that.I thought the price was for one first up but is definitely for two. Can't believe nobody else got them, this is the first set of new stock turbo's I have ever heard of for sale anywhere. Apart from Toyota that is and I think they were $3000 each. Can't wat till they get here.

Andrew, I was a bit concerned about that as well, but I have spoken to the guys at GCG turbos and they said that as long as they have been stored OK there shouldn't be a problem. The ebay add said that they were in their original packaging so hopefully they will be good.

Hopefull they are still full of oil as well, the same mob sells ct12 rebuild kits too and they are cheap, might be worth getting those as well, just to be safe.

Wow what a great price man. I took the liberty of asking them if they could supply a set with steel wheels, even the reco ones just to see what they can do. I noticed they also reco and have turbines for sale. Could be worthwhile.
Great buy Jeff lets us all know how they go. I will be going this way also if and when my turbos go BANG.

They must have a few sets, listed again. They have to be genuine, Toyota are the only ones that ever made them. Mine have been sent should be here early next week.

Not sure where you guys are getting those prices from but about 4-5 years ago I know someone who replaced the stock turbos with OEM toyota units. Cost was under 3k I think $2750 for the pair of turbos plus labour to fit all done through a Toyota dealer.
At the time the cost was about the same as rebuilding the stock units with steel wheels and high flowing.

Good clean oil. I've been running 19, 20+ psi for about a year now, and it see's full boost everytime I drive it. Just taken the turbos off and saw that my oil drain and oil feed were CLEAN inside with no buildups. The oil passages and journal bearings in the turbo are also clean with no buildup or discolouration.
I think a contributing factor to dead turbos is the sludge from insufficient oil changes which builds up in the oil feed/oil drain thus restricting it's ability to flow as it should.

Insistently I do not recommend to buy these turbines. The Chinese goods the worst. A companion took these turbines from us. Have collapsed through 200 kilometers.
