Hey guys.

Iv got one of those $50 hilfow o2 sensors.
And iv noticed that the car will only go into closed loop after I nail the pedal at WOT for a bit...

It seems as though the heated element of the sensor is not getting the sensor hot enough to read.
so once i nail it and get some temps up its perfect... and it stays good until the next morning..

Anyone else had this with the hiflow units?

how can you tell that its not going into closed loop?

perhaps you've got the heater wires wrong?

When the car is warmed up, the sensor should work even at idle, I'll check mine.

Heater wires can be hooked up either way, as it's a heater circuit it is not polarity sensitive

No the $50 Hiflo sensors are not wideband.

That's not a bad price for a Bosch sensor, would you mind sharing the link Gary?
