hey guys i just did a motor swap and when i started the new motor all was good until i got a warning light on the dash i japanese so i got the translation paper and it said that the alternator was not charging the battery.i removed the alternator and took it to my electrician.he carried out some tests and said the alternator was fine.is there anything else i i can look at? i have checked the fuse in the kick panel and it is fine. si there any other fuses or relays i can look for?

generally the alternator charge warning light comes on when the system see's below i think 11volts. so make sure you havent got a massive amp or carpc/ stereo/ thermo'sor even the abs pump drawing too much from your system.
mine does this now too since throwing the thermo's on. i have a decent amp and carpc thermo's and a constantly pumping abs pump. when all these are going at once and the headlights are also running my alternator simply cannot provide enough charge for the electrical system, and stuff starts shutting down. first the carpc (safety thing) then the headlights go then the thermo, then abs. i myself am looking at gettin a 100amp alternator as a replacement. possibly even 120amp. run the engine. on idle check across battery terminals to find at least 13volts. if it's below that. rev the engine while checking the voltage at the battery. if it goes up from the low reading around 2000 rpm or more then you need to beef up your alternator.
