G'day everyone,

I like many others have been hunting down a direct fit aftermarket BOV to replace my current vent to atmosphere BOV. In doing this i wanted it as neat as possible so hopefully in the stock position.

After some great service by Brett at GFB, who new his stuff back to front, What i settled on was a GFB respons T9005 with the horn swapped out for a plug to keep it completely legal.

The T9005 is a dual port BOV that can be adjusted from full recirc to full noise and anywhere in between. The guys at GFB seem to be very helpful so wether you want a completely legal BOV like me with a plug, the standard or one with a huge noisy horn I'm sure they will be only to happy to help.

I have attached a phot of how the old stealth FX was mounted which is the same as the new model.

Another note for the guys with Auto's is that you can use there adaptors part # 5105 to fit a 1008 mach 1 bov as the clutch master cyl wont get in the way as does in the manual. This is a little cheaper and gives you the option to put vent to atmos BOV's on as well if you so wish.

If you have an auto and want a cheaper option such as the Mach 1, it will be:
$225 for the valve, + $69.90 for the adaptor, + $15 delivery = $309.90

The Respons would be:
$349 for the valve, + $15 delivery (no adaptor needed, plug included in place of trumpet) = $364.

It still won't be legal as it can be altered to vent to atmo.
You need a straight out plumb back BOV to be legal and if you do that you may as well stick with a stock BOV unless your running massive boost.

Rob,

The one I have ordered has been modified so it can not be adjusted to vent to atmosphere. It not only has a plug in the horn position, the screws in the top plate have been replaced so they lock the internal mechanism in place. According to the RTA this meets requirements.

Also I would have preferred to remain with the stock BOV but I am running 22 psi of boost on high boost.

Also just to note the picture above is just to show where it mounts and is not the one i have ordered.

awesome. spewing the stock location isnt closer to the throttle body :s my thoughts are with the stock location, is that the front turbo gets slowed down anyway as the pressure is only released before the rear turbo.

the closer the blow off valve to the throttle body the better the response between gears.

spewing that open atmosphere blow off valves are illegal when running a map sensor cause they are better for the system.

Mine started leaking at around 19 psi although I'm not 100% sure it was the BOV itself. I changed it a few years ago when I thought it was the BOV leaking to a look at me BOV but now wanting to be a bit more discrete and legal am just changing over to this one. Sorry I cant give you a 100% definitive answer.
