Been having this issue of late. There's a ringing sound (almost like air moving in an empty metal pipe) whenever i accelerate. Happens in low range rpm. Could it be a dying cat?

I dunno - but my exhaust was riddled with holes. Resonators were broken and about to fall off, cat was leaking, eventually one side of the split fell off and then later the middle of the exhaust collapsed at the cat.
dunno what age yours is - but mine was 1991 and spent time near the goldcoast. I can only assume it's because of that.

The problem started when the weather gave way to summer. The ringing comes and goes. Not a constant thing. My area is a patrol nest. Not a chance to trash the car even if I wanted to.
Not sure if its a placebo effect but the car does seem more sluggish as compared to before. Colder air > warmer air?

Think i may have found the problem with the ringing. There was a bad weld to cover a hole under the chassis. Prolly the diameter of 2 coke cans. Did some DIY patching and the ringing stopped! Probably do more road tests once i'm more awake.
Was bored after my final paper and decided to poke around. Glad I did. Anyways, saw three soarers in my area today. Pretty sad to see them in a bad exterior condition though. The green ones really take the cake. Gives the soarer a bad name and price tag!
