The car is TT auto.

Symptoms are:

At full throttle it starts to cut out power to the wheels just before gear change, Then once the gear has changed it will go back to full power.

When it's cutting out just before the change of gears it will splutter a bit. From what i can gather i think fuel is still getting pumped in but no spark.

Has anyone else got the same problem as myself or has seen similar symptoms before?

Ive heard the Xr6 BA turbo's can do this as well.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Kempo.

Yeah champ . Its factory ignition cut to relieve pressure on the gearbox during changes .

You can fit a shift kit from MV autos from South Australia ( Everyone uses them , inc myself ) and this almost totally removes it if not completely . Gear changes are snappier and also helps the box last longer when increasing power .

Hope this eases you somewhat :-)

it shouldn't feel like too much power is cut, it tends to change gears quite quickly and smoothly on mine. But yeah definately has a cool videogame style sound effect as it changes the timing.

:-)
