Hi guys
2 days ago my soarer decided to have a break from work, when i tried to start the "alternator not charging" message appears, car starts up but no power, the max speed it goes to is 20km, smokes out from the exhaust pipe
Had a service guy check it out he can't find the problem
Any ideas guys

try doing ecu reset.

if it still does not work try and get your hands on a 2nd hand ecu or borrow it from a friend to see if that solves the problem.

what does the car rev to? sounds like its in limp fode. check all your ecu error codes. plenty of how to's on here for that.

also check all your earth connections, could be a reason for the alternator not charging.

what color smoke comes out the exhaust? black? blue? white? can give a bit of indication from the color

Could be the air flow meter on the intake pipe near the airbox, try plugging it and take for a drive.
