To cut a long story short, the vacuum hose circled in the picture, came off unknowingly the other day while I was in the process of removing my cam covers. Now lately, I have had on & off idle issues for the last few months & also always had this really frustrating high pitched sound inside my cabin, but which I could also hear just as loud when I opened my bonnet, which made it hard to find out where the hell it was coming from.

Turns out the clamp doesn't do it's job anymore, & the hose must of only just been touching the metal hose it connects to, making this annoying sound where it was leaking air.
I connected the hose back up with a new clamp & it turned my idle to but if I disconnect it, my idle is perfect ?

So I have left this hose disconnected. Shouldn't affect anything ?

That goes to the stock BOV. If you remove it, make sure to block the piping with something so you don't have any boost/vac leaks.

No problem, it would pay to reset your ECU after reconnecting or disconnecting any vac piping so it re-learns how to idle.
