I had a search for this but couldn't seem to find it. So my question is, how do you remove the front crank seal ? Keep in mind, I have everything apart due to a water pump leak, so it's just a matter of replacing the seal & I can put the car back together.

Cheers,
Mike

small screw driver between the outer edge of the seal and the housing. Then just flip it out.

Or use a screwdriver (or ideally a seal pick remover) and lever from the inside. Just DONT where the seal lip runs on the crank journal, otherwise it will tear the seal over time and end up with a leaking front seal again.

meant to sat "dont damage" the seal journal surface lol.

I usually do the outside job, always worked for me and never had a seal leak after doing it. If your worried just use a small ammount of bearing retainer on the outside.

Dont use slaz or the likes as it may allow the seal to slip out when running and your back to square 1

Screw driver will work but a bit dodgy,

Just tap two small holes in the seal with a sharp point, nail etc. Then use two lengthy self tapping timber screws to screw into the old seal. You only have to screw them in a few mm.
The slowly and gently pull the seal out using the screws to grab onto, with pliers/multigrips etc

and when putting the new one back in, try and find something the same size as the seal. a socket or a washer to tap it in with, and lube up the edge with oil.

light taps around the outer edges, avoid the inner edge as thats where you'll bend and damage the seal
