Hi,
I've recently been taking my car for spirited runs through the hills now that everything seems to be working great. But the other night i noticed after giving it a bit of stick, it likes to get hot.
Normally my temperature sits about half, but it went up to around the 3/4 mark, so i backed off and drove calmly for a while, hoping it would go down, but it took another 5mins for it go down.
Im just wondering if this is normal because im driving hard and have a fmic in front, or if theres something not quite right, like a blocked radiator or faulty thermostat ?

Ok, I think i've found the problem.
The water pump seal at the front near the pulley looks to have broken. Its sprayed a fine layer of coolant around the engine bay, which is white, probably the reason i didn't pick it up earlier
Where is the cheapest to order a new pump, or if the seal can be redone, where should i look ?

You'll have to pull the radiator out to do the water pump anyway. There's a link to a great tutorial in the tutorials section (100K service). Not too difficult a job.
