Hi guys,

I got a 1jz-gte here from a JZZ30, I need some information on a few wires, plugs and lines, what they are for etc.

1.

Ground wire on back of head, where does it connect to?

2.

Plug with single thick black wire near starter motor area :

3.

2 Vac lines one near Diag box and one to the right of the dipstick

4.

Wiring harness plugs cut off where circled green :

Here are the wire colours :

- White

- Thick White

- Black/Red Thickest
- Black/Red slightly Thinner than Thickest
- Black/Red Thin
- Black Red Thinnest

- Brown
- Thick Black
- Thin Black
- Black/Orange
- Black/Yellow
- Blue/Red
- Blue

5. 2 wires near alternator area branching out of main loom, Green/Black and Green/Red

6. 2 Plugs near transmission, Grey and Black Plugs

Grey Plug : Blue/Red, Red and Yellow Wire

Black Plug : Purple and Pink wires

7. Plug branching from main ECU Loom out near where it joins the firewall :

Also the alternator charging wire has 2 wires on it, they are snapped so I'm not sure where they both goto.... Not sure why there is 2, but I'm assuming its fine to attach them both to the positive clamp?

1) it connects to the firewall just above the head
2) starter motor plug
3) connects to a solenoid on the firewall i think its something to do with the heater
4) not sure sorry
5) power steering rack
6) there gearbox plugs
7) that powers the same solenoid that the vac lines are from

i can get some pics of the solenoid and stuff for you this arvo if you like

Hi Thanks for that.

Trans plugs, I didn't see where they connect to since my extension housing came with no sensors.

Does anybody know if it matters which way the PPS Solenoid wires are connected? I'm guessing since it's a solenoid it wont matter?

I figured out some of the wires for the snapped loom where the EB1 and EB2 (and possibly other) plugs are..... but cant figure out the 4 Black/Reds and a few other wires that might be important

The thickest Black/Red is IGN Switched +B for the ECU, does anyone know what the other Black/Reds are for?

So far i've got :

Blue - +12v For A/C Clutch
Thick White - Goes to alternator plug
Brown - A/C Speed sensor
Black/Yellow - ECU "Batt"
Thick Black - E1 Earth

Thin Black - ??
Black/Orange - ??
Blue/Red - ??
Thinner White - ??

Thickest Black/Red - Seems to go to one of the dash plugs
2nd Thinnest Black/Red - ??
3rd Thinnest Black/Red - ??
Thinnest Black/Red - ??

If anybody has some hints on what the remaining wires are i'd appreciate it
