when i start my car first thing in the morning it idles good but once it warms up the idle creeps up to about 1000rpm. if i stick the aircon on then it drops to about 750-800 rpm but goes back up when you turn it off. What should i be looking for?

Did I read that right? If your A/C is on generally the idle should become higher?

Sounds strange for an idle to creep up once warm. Consider changing your idle control valve? Other than that I'm stumped sorry man, good luck finding a solution

you read it right. when the aircon comes on it idles about the 750-800rpm mark which is correct speed for when its on. the car should be idling about 500-600 rpm normally without the aircon and it does in first thing in the morning, it just creeps up once the motor gets warm.

ISCV controls idle, I'd look into that. There is a way to test it. I remember it being you touch the 6 pins in a sequence and you should see it spin open/close.

Rear of engine bay, up top. Passenger side mounted onto the inlet manifold. It's got a black round cap.
