getting to hot and knocking/pulling timing? if you let it cool down and try again whats it like? or has the power gone and not come back? if so i'd look at boost leak or blocked cat

Its the BCS kicking in (Bogan Control System) You can disable it by selling your Soarer and going back to something that better suits the bogan driving style, like your aforementioned Skyline.

lol matthew some funny sh!t, i just want the same power all the time, since its my first auto im thinking mayb its slipping but if so wouldnt the revs be high and going nowhere? like a clutch on its way out?. Tony that idea sounds plausible, but wat can i do to correct this?

Is it really that important that you go round corners sideways?it slows the car down, and wears tyres out?

5th doesnt break traction because you don't have 5th. You should certainly be able to slide a lot further than 25meters though, I suggest using your right foot.

Oh haha oops! In which case wind the boost up. 14psi should slide more than 25 meters easily! Have you checked for boost/vac leaks? |

Does it do this every lap? If so I'd be inclined to think it may be a combination of the tranny slipping and the tyres heating up. Could it also be some sort of override in the computer- you know computer saying "hey, ho what the ! Something is wrong here, the tyres are slipping severely or something has failed. Better wind it back a bit before knuckle head breaks something" You don't have traction control do you?

Chris is cool guys and he can actually side a soarer without spinning If you have a scroll dash you can do an ECU Diagnostic check. You could be having ignition problems and spark break down under boost. Change plugs and gap to 0.8 and see how you go. Go as low at 0.6 and see if that makes an improvements. Also check your boost control and make sure it is working. Turn the boost control off and see if you're getting the same problems. Also if you are sliding, you may be getting fuel surge under 1/2 tank.

thanks Costa, i found that when i run it on 10psi its more responsive and power doesnt die out but the more i turn it up theres a peak of power then dies out bad like a block in exhaust, is it possible for a cat to melt?
