I have had my SC400 sitting in the garage for months without a battery: just installed new battery and ready to go back on the road.

First problem I had was a misfire and bits of the catalytic converter spewing out the exhaust.

Took it down to exhaust man and have had the cats replaced, but now still has a major misfire under acceleration and down on power (of course).

Will it be just plugs, or coils or needs retune for new cats etc in the exhaust system?

All positive comments will be most welcome.

Also anyone know of a good mechanic in the Central Coast region of NSW?

Old fuel and bad plugs ? Top up with some fresh 98 and even drop some octane booster in to help .

If you haven't replaced the fuel, it'll be that...

I agree....Fresh fuel with injector cleaner and new spark plugs, eliminate them possible causes first, then go from there. Mine, although turbo, had sat for a long time when I bought it and misfired badly until I replaced all the plugs.
