i have a 1jzgte twin turbo 1991, i have had the car for about 1 month now and one morning i wake up and every time i accelerate i hear this whining, hissing, whistling sound, and not just that the car is not quick at all. I assumed it would of been boost leak but i cant seem to find it, and also constant white smoke keeps on coming out with a smell of petrol and like lots of white smoke. The car still spools but as it spools its got those really annoying noises. what do you reckon it could be?}

Given my personal experience with the stock twins, when they get loud, and you have no power, they're on their way out. Take off the intake lines to the compressor housings and see how much shaft play you have, the compressor wheels, or turbine wheels depending on clearances may be hitting/grinding on the housings.

Mine, when they went out built up the boost, but when the car came in demand they couldn't keep up.

Another thing to get out of the way is a potential leak in the charge system. get yourself an intake pressure tester, it looks like a cap with a couple of fittings on it, one is usually for a compressor, and the other a valve stem similar to a bike tire.

My twins did the same, when I pulled the intake pipe off the rear, the compressor wheel fell onto the ground. Snapped shaft. Interestingly enough the what was left still spun freely and had no play lol
