Hi guys,

Just today my boost gauge has started to somewhat malfunction but I wanted to make sure that nobody else has had this issue before.

Basically I noticed my boost Gauge without actually boosting being at higher than 30 VAC (actually off the numbers all together) and then when I gave it boost it would say it was going 9 - 10 on the boost gauge but was really probably doing 17psi because it felt no different, however being the person I am I had to really gun it to find out and as I did this my temp meter started flashing and the car was heating up, that ended up being old coolant which I drained most of it out and replaced and has been okay since but the boost gauge is still dodgy, would this have something to do with earthing or is this related to other things?

Cheers :-)

Thanks for the reply Nathan, am starting to think it's an air leak on the line, it's a BOOST brand boost gauge haha just a manual one but I'll have another look at it today at 3pm and if that doesn't solve the issue I'll post a picture of it that I took this morning.

mechanical gauge would have nothing to do with earthing. the only power going to it will be for the light.

you might find the wound spring (not sure if thats the right word) in your gauge has busted. my gauge stuffed up ages ago and wouldn't read the right boost think it showed no boost at all, took it a apart and it was broken. probably comes with buying cheap gauges i suppose.
