Hey guys. I was poking around under my bonnet changing all my boost lines when I noticed a few sections of the engine loom weren't covered. So I grabbed some tape and wrapped the bits I could see up then tried to start the car and it's missing on number 1 cylinder. I'm guessing a broken wire in either the injector or the coil pack. Can anyone tell me how to check them at all ? I have a basic multi meter

you could pull the coil pack off the number 1 and 2 cylinders and leave the spark plug connected inside it and hold it against the engine block while someone turns the key.

you should get a nice blue spark. if no spark you know its the coil pack wiring that is stuffed (or the coil pack its self) if you get a spark you'll know its something else.

All sorted. I found by using a small led globe bridged across the 2 connections while the engine is running you get a quick pulse if it working as they are negative switching. If there is no pulse use a multi meter to check one side for constant power. If no power then the power wire is broken. If there is power the the signal wire is broken. Mine was the signal wire and was easy to fix after findind it
