Hi guys,

I just wanted a second opinion, is it okay to run avgas on our tt soarers especially with the mods, I heard that avgas is leaded so it may cause other issues. I wouldn't mind giving it a shot if possible.

Cheers :-)

I was advised not to touch Avgas in a 1jzgte motor as it still retains a content of lead in the fuel for the 1950/60/70's aircraft engines. It will apparently cause valve issues.

long term it will coat your 02 sensor, causing it to not work. unbolt the sensor, run a mix of premium and avgas, wind boost up to about 18psi, then drive it like you stole it! :-)

It's not something you just 'give it a shot' the same as E85 is not something you 'just give it a shot'. Car needs to be setup and tuned to suit or it's pointless even trying it.
