Hi guys,

After a great weekend out on the beach I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that I managed to blow my stock turbo's. Anyway sent it away to the mechanics today and it also seems that 1 of the cylinders is not running which my mechanic thinks might possibly be that an o-ring has let go, what could this potentially mean for my engine???

Replace or rebuild . Probably leaned out and destroyed piston crown and rings . This would help kill the turbo too .

Best bet get low km 2nd hand engine drop it in .

I was thinking that to be honest...might have to move onto a supra as much as I'd love for the soarer to keep on running. Nothing but bad luck this week, got pulled up by highway patrol for riding my push bike to work today, unlucky or what!!!

o-ring? i assume you mean piston ring?

easiest way to tell if the cylinder has let go is to do a compression test on it.

Got the results back today and yeah cylinders 1 and 6 both had ridiculously low compression, 1 was 60psi and the other was 30 something...so now I'm wondering whether I should just put a 2jzgte into it or sell it off with the parts and save up for a couple of months and buy a supra (must be manual)

Very sad day to be honest :-(

Supra . You need to engineer a 2j swap as well as the costs mate . I Reckon part out and save mate . All the way . At least a supra is worth more money .

A soarer with all the money spent on it is still worth bugger all :-(

2J conversion will cost you 4-5K minimum.

Best way out is like Daniel said, Get a good used 1J and put in it.

Especially if you're thinking of parting or selling it.
