We (HyperGear) have introduced high flow options for the 1JZGTE for a while and have done quite few sets in the past. How ever dyno results from those are hard to come by, and this is a pretty good back to back result comparison to the stock units, so I will post.

By high flowing or our high flow option is by installing chra with larger steel wheels on both ends into stock housings. Then ad FNT turbine setups for faster response. The end result is more power, better response then factory CT12A units.

Results are based in pump 98 fuel, Auto in 3rd gear, FMIC, Exhaust, and fuel related mods.

Light blue line is final tune, while the thin red line is factory turbo.

The high flow turbos can not reach any more then 17psi with stock intake pipe, how ever did reach 25psi with 3inch metal induction pipe.

The Transmission is slipping badly uptop. More results will be posted to this thread once they have been sorted.

Just Add. This is not a forsale tread. Please do not inquire about buying this service on this thread.

Hi Tao,

Any more info on this? Did you sort the slipping auto?

Any hints of the power @ 25PSI?

And what's the deal with FNT? How do you modify the turbine housing?

Cheers, Tai

I love how Tai hasn't received a response yet...best advice from past results of other members, stay away from hypergear :-)

They do a lot of nissans though , and probably don't check here much .

They should have done a deal with someone here to prove results and reliability ... Years ago when they first popped up . I know I asked via email many moons ago .

Imagine they were still running after 4 years and had results proven , everyone would be using them :-)

Sorry I'm not on this forum often, but I will do from now on. you can find my thread on SAU under forced induction and it is the largest thread on there with over 330,000 views that contains dyno results, track footages, feedbacks, innovations, trouble shooting and solutions. The whole thread is indexed, it can be navigated easily through the main page.

I haven't heard back from that customer and Trent at Chequred tuning is currently in USA. I can find out the latest updates once he comes back to Melbourne.

Well I choice to move forward while few others always chasing my past.

Saying that I do admit the past wasn't pretty. Things are looking good since I moved my operations to Australia, It has been that way since 08.

Even thou, past with 1/2JZ community wasn't too bad, All the old TR44xx are over 5 years old and most of them are still in action.

Today we've into FNT, billet compressor, roller bearing cartridges and all sorts of custom wheel and housing designs. best way to keep in track is from our high flow and custom building thread in SAU, or add us on facebook at:
www.facebook.com/hypergearturbos

Most of our works are trailed and developed on Rb25det this days. The CT12a isn't a common turbo that comes by, but we did work on a large no. of CT15Bs, various of Nissan and Ford turbochargers.

Please post it up if any one like to see results from any of our current work.
