Hi guys,
Just wondering if this is possible and if so what needs to be done to get it working. Can I strap on something like an emanage ultimate to get the 2jz ECU to run with the 1jz transmission or do I need to source out an Aristo transmission? Will all of my setting inside of the soarer still work?

From what i understand the Ultimate will only change stuff like the ignition and fuel injection of the ecu. I don't think it manages shift points etc.
The wolf V500 does manage shift points, but it's a total ECU replacement. Did the auto transmission change between the 1jz's and the 2jz's much? Someone here should know!

What Daniel says is correct. I think I'll use the 1jz ECU since a full ecu replacement is too expensive atm and use an emanage ultimate to control fueling.

As Daniel said, the Supra TT auto has electronically-controlled line pressure, the Soarer TT auto has cable-controlled line pressure, so the Supra TT ECU needs a Supra TT 'box.
Someone on the UK Supra forum built a hybrid, by swapping the cable-controlled Supra N/A valve body on to the Supra TT gearbox, so that he could use the stronger TT gearbox and the Supra N/A ECU with his supercharged 2JZ-GE (also a good solution for a tweaked 1JZ-GTE auto?). It should be possible to do the opposite - Supra TT valve body and Soarer TT gearbox.
On the other hand, Supra TT autoboxes are pretty cheap (well, they are in the UK), so you could just transplant the whole thing. May need a custom propshaft?
