Hi all i put the car in to get the ecu fixed last week i got it back and it was still running like crap no choke and idle was up and down i took it back again he FIXED it again and told me im running to much boost and its blowing the spark plug spark out when under boost???, i dont know if this is true or not but when the car went to him it was running perfect untill it went into limp mode the capacitors had leaking and caused some damage.the car had normal idle and no problems under full boost before this and the spark plugs whrer a nice shade of brown and never mised a bet. it now coughs and farts when i give it a boot full.

Spark blowout does happen. Have you checked your coil pack for cracks? Are the coil clips all unbroken and in good condition? Did u install larger gapped plugs by mistake ?

How much boost you running?
Chances are it's spark plugs or coil packs.

The clips tend to break so check those.

new plugs fitted with correct gap got the iridiums and changed on saturday. has a fuel cut defender fitted the type that fits into the vacuum line, coil packs where checked when plugs done and they had no visual cracks and looked ok will be changing these in the next 2 weeks to new ones and fitted new coil pack clips last year as the original where broken. I have another manual computer coming from sydney so ill swap it with mine this week to see if the one i got fixed was done correctly . if its still running crap i will have to find a good car tuner in brisbane to take it to

What's the plug number ? Iridiums should be no more than 0.8 mm gap same with coppers .

What plug gap did you actually use. 'Correct gap' is different depending on the application.
