hey guys i got my car back Saturday.. but umm I've been told to get a 3" exhaust system on my car with a high flow cat.

Cause im running a 3" downpipe with a stock 2" exhaust and they said it be a lot of stress on the engine and turbo.

so would it do damage or would it be fine?

and also dunno if my car needs a tune as when i start the engine when its cold it shakes and stalls If i don't apply some throttle.

but once the car is hot its runs perfect

Sounds like your idle control valve either isn't plugged in or is shot

How old are the plugs ? Correct gap ? Coil packs in good condition ? Fuel filter ?

Next time it struggles to start maybe try fuel pump Ecu bypass ?

As for back pressure causing stress , yes it does . It will shorten the life of stock turbos if you like to drive it hard and they may fail .

Can't go wrong with a nice free flOwing exhaust :-)

the car was fine before i did the single conversion.

After i did that then it started to shake and idle wrong.

It doesn't back fire and i dont hear any ping in the engine all i see is the engine shaking and wants to stall.

and i hooked up my diagnose tool and only reading i got was for the ho2s sensor.

But i got that when i was wiring up the heated oxygen sensor for the engine bay.

But i did another reading and got nothing once it was all finished

ive used a bit of petrol before. and a small toothbrush. just be careful when removing it as there are a couple of small parts that might go flying.

I decided to do it and get it out the way lol.

The IACV was dirty inside so i cleaned it out and made it look close enough to brand new so i waited about 30min before installing it back in.

So going to fire her up tomorrow and hear if this has fixed the problem and I'll let you guys know if this idle problem is finished

I think that it's funny that it only started doing it after your single turbo conversion. You did reconnect the pipe for the IACV didn't you?
Its the one the bolts onto the rear of the rocker covers.

Well I started her up and had a hard time to start at first.

Then she made a massive backfire noise which didn't sound good.

So I had a look and found out that my number 1 coil plug wasn't on properly.

I fixed it give her the turn over and yep she idle great. :

D she was dropping the idle a little bit but wasn't as bad as how it was.

And the turbo is responses. My twins would spool up around 3500 RPM my single spools up at 2500 RPM

So it was the IACV :-) thank's guys
