Hi Guys,

Finally got my car back, running stock turbo's with a stock ecu, lew's dumps and exhaust of course plus a few other nibblies haha Anyway I'm trying to figure out the settings for this boost controller, however it keeps on hitting boost cut. Am I right in saying that this Electronic Boost Controller removes Boost cut because it's not spiking down low only up the top when I have it set at like 14.7 psi etc, normally I thought it would just go straight through and stay at that kind of level.

Any help would be great and preferably asap, it's kind of miserable seeing it like this!!! I just wanna drive.

Cheers,

James.

a boost controller does not remove boost cut, it just controls boost :/ you need a fuel cut defender

i think boost cut is 14.3, hence hitting boost cut. Try lowering the settings to 14psi and see how you go.

Your gains are set wrong . There is set gain , gain , psi you want for unit to hold eastegstes closed before operating and limiter ...

The boost setting I use in % and psi .

The 1st adjustment using the knob is your boost level or set . Then pressing mode I think takes you to next setting . This is adjusted for solenoid . Too low will have the effect your having . Too high will boost to fast and drop off ...

Then the next setting is psi you want the eastegstes to start opening . Set this around 11-12psi .

I wouldn't use the limiter until you have it all sorted . But you could try setting limited at 14.0psi and % reduction 10-15% .

What are your current settings on all screens ?

You'll find you need a FCd ... Then you should be able to get a nice boost curve happening . Change the Set gain to 110 mate then see . You have it set at 1psi to open eastegstes lol . 10 = 1 psi , 100 = 10 psi

Haha too easy, thought I was doing something wrong! thanks heaps Dan I'll hopefully figure it out and post results later on after the drive to work :-) I regret selling the Blitz ECU, might have to look into a good piggyback to remove boost cut etc. I know mines ecu do the same as the blitz in that regard but their all tuned differently unlike the Blitz :-)

Also post up your natural boost with ebc off . It should rise as the revs rise with dumps .

I get about 13.5-13.7 natural boost .

Okay so mine ended up peaking at between 14.5 and 14.7 and this happened more than once just easing into it without simply just flooring it with the ebc switched to off mode. When I floored it, it would vary between 15 & 17psi even 20psi.

How are you hitting 20psi without a FCD or other boost cut removal device?

Sorry spiking to 20 psi but generally 14.5-14.7 is my limit. Naturally.

I'm not 100% sure so someone might be able to correct me, but the point of the factory boost cut is to prevent those boost spikes. Unless you're running some kind of FCD i think your gauge might be wrong. Are you measuring boost pressure from the wastegate pressure line or manifold pressure? The two can be very different.

Honestly I have no idea haha when I turn it off and flaw it, that's what shows up then it flashes to me the psi it hit before boost cut came into effect! Anyway either way I'll get the analog boost gauge working properly and sync them both up to get a better idea of what's really happening!
