Anyone in or near Nowra today or tommorow? I need help with my TT
Im putting new dumps in and i think ive stuff it real bad, 2 bottom bolts of front turbo wont align, and one thread of the rear turbo is threaded.

I need help as soon as possible, im on my own and i have no idea what to do. :-(

Next time i have any work to be done to the turbos, im going to let a workshop do it, thought i could handle it but apparently not..

What dumps ? How far along are you ? Have you removed both turbos ? Fitted dumps to turbos then trying to fit both turbos and dumps onto engine ?

I'm in Sydney but happy to help via Internet

Some custom ones i was sold by another member, who had them fitted to his soarer. Ive already removed turbos, i have them both back in, both connected to oil feed. i tried to put it together then stick it back to the engine, but the oil feed and gaskets for both the oil feed and turbos wouldnt play ball. so i fully installed the first turbo, then tried to slide the dump on and then the second turbo, but once again, exhaust manifold and oil feed wont play ball, then tried to loosen the first turbo a bit to try again, and still no luck. I can only seem to get one or the other, its either oil feed only or exhaust manifold only, cant seem to get both to go in. Then i tried taking the 4 studs off the front turbo, and it was in place, then putting the studs back into the turbo and only the top 2 go in :-(

For starters remove all the studs that join the dumps to the turbos and buy bolts to replace them. That will give you more room to move.

Did you replace the bronze gasket o rings that sit between turbo and manifold ? These have been known to peak sometimes .

I would remove front turbo , use the studs on rear turbo to dumps . Then replace studs with bOlts as Michael Said on front turbo . I wouldn't boot banjo bolts for oil feed until turbos are on . Easy to do from underneath .

Are you sure there were no fitting issues before ? Maybe that's why aren't fitting ?

Fitment may be an issue. I'm fixing a set now for a soarer central member whose dumps wouldn't fit up properly.

OK, they fit now, just needed someone up top to hold the turbos, while i pushed the dump up from beneath, and then into the exhaust manifold and its all good. next issue is i forgot to put the water line on the rear turbo, and its such a tiny gap :/

Hahaha, i would have at least gone thru like 9 swear jars if i had one, ever word was either F or C bomb lol. I know, Robbie got me while i was down;
"Now you know why i went single.."

And guys, shes all together! Cleaned out the intercooler, changed the rocker cover gasket, oil change and filter, and going to do a coolant flush and change today, after i run it down to the exhaust shop to get the front pipe made up, i drove it yesterday, the aftermarket dump is a few cm off the front pipe, so essentially no exhaust, and dear god its loud.. hahaha. Ill take a few shots of the engine bay, while the pipes were out, i sprayed them black, they look wicked :-)

Only issues at the moment are, the two water feeds for the turbos, right at the front of the front turbo are leaking a bit, just need to re adjust the clamp, and there is oil leaking underneath the car, on the crossmember, while it on the hoist getting the exhaust, ima see if i can locate where its coming from, i put cardboard under it when i noticed it and it was dirty oil, as in old oil, so maybe just from fitment. Although the rear turbo and bottom of the front oil returns have no clamps over the hoses, as i replaced the hose with new hose, and the old clamps wouldn't go over it, and i and deadset that broke, ive only got enough to get the exhaust then im flat broke. so hoping its not from there, and if it is, when i get paid next Wednesday, ill buy some of those screw clamps and put them on the hoses while its on a hoist at work..

P.S The water feed on the rear turbo? I woke up next morning, 2 mins and the bolt was in and on tightt. hahaha champion effort :-)

Its strange tho! All i have is BFI and the dumps, 3" front pipe hiflow cat, resonator, split to 2 2.5" with mufflers and its already hitting boost cut? that's a bit strange don't you think?
