Okay guys, Knowing that I can get it engineered the idea has hit me again. Would the GT3582R be a decent enough single on the 1jz with 440 injectors, upgraded fuel pump, Emanage ultimate and obviously with my current exhaust system, fmic etc would I be able to push 300 - 310 rwkw's (with current transmission)? Thinking of going single more for future proofing as later on down the track I'll either rebuilt the auto currently with the 1.5 shift kit and trans cooler or just get an r154 manual.
What do you guys think, I'm no expert on turbos but single seems to be the way to go personally.

the GT35 is laggy with the auto, and fine with the manual trans, depending on how you drive. Unless you are definitely going with the manual conversion, i strongly suggest going down one size with your turbo choice. GT3076, gt3576,gt3082(gt3040). all with .8 rear housing. they will give that power you want, but have response much closer to the factor twins.

Out of the 3 which one of those would be the best out of what you've mentioned? I don't mind a little lag, I guess it comes with single and more power!

I had a gt35 with an auto, it was a little laggy until i had my wolf v500 installed which controls all gearbox shift point's! When they set all the gear shift setting's they speed up kickdown massively and made a huge difference to the feel of the car, there wasn't much throttle to play with before it was reaching for another gear keeping on boost much better. Would recommend the wolf for such setup's but it was very pricey!

Yeah maybe a little too pricey especially for what I'm wanting to achieve...but amazing ecu heard so much about them. Maybe a haltech ps 2000 someday but for now a good sized single turbo capable of up to 350 rwkw for future purposes but 300-310rwkw for now that will go down well with the emanage ultimate and 440 injectors plus fuel pump etc

Yes a good ecu is worth there weight in gold. Maybe one of those supra stick's I'm not to sure what they do, but if they could speed up kickdown it might help. But i didn't really mind the lag it had because you know what was about to come!

I would rather have a big single with an auto and a stall converter than a manual. You can't load up a manual off the line as well as an auto that's for sure.

Yeah I can be a little forgiving and sacrifice fast spool for more power especially when you know what's coming my stock ceramics are starting to sound more and more like police sirens each day, want them gone ASAP

Good question Johnny. So anyone else got any experience with a good turbo that would suit my needs, when does the GT3582R actually kick in with the rev range of the soarer???

Yes i did make it Johnny and yes if your after one i can do it for you. I would need the turbo and manifold to put on my jig though, but it would be a perfect fit.

High flow twins would work but I've already got the single setup. Biggest problem I have is lag, I really enjoyed driving the car as a daily when I had the twins but now it's just too much of a beast lol. I just want low end response and torque not chasing big hp.

should be able to get to 300 no worries with high flowed twins! Evan in Nz has 286 on 18 pound with standard turbos and stage 2 cam's. Imagine what a pair of high flowed twin's at 22-24 pound would achieve. Would be Bugger all lag too and look stock as well.

They are laggier . A 3071with .8 rear would be a very responsive steetable setup IMO . I mean , 250rwkw is a decent street figure , but that response and torque would be nice .
Personally I always wanted to bolt on a 3071 and see its limits ... Keen as to follow them .
In the end , if it's not enough , upgrade to a 3076r or 3037s .

I dont think there would be a significant difference in power delivery between a 71 and 76. might as well go GTX3576 if you can find one, as it will have VERY similar response to gt3076 and will make a lot more power up top.

Kinda ... Horses for courses .. I wonder if a 3071 would push 22-25psi through a 1jz and make over 350rwhp .
Would be very responsive and have boost early allowing to run a smaller stally .
Although I love my stally . Stock twins and over 4000rpm is kinda killer every day ! Not to mention how easy it will 60' at the track with no effort really .
