just picked up soarer for a good price but it does need some work (cosmetic mainly) has 127,000km
First and main problem ERROR CODE 67 which is causing ETC,WARNING LIGHTS, FLASHING O/D LIGHT and some random Japanese writing.Im told this is a faulty sensor on the tranny or can it be something els? just wondering what sensor on the gearbox this is? And could this be causing the gearbox to play up and cause gear change from 1st to 2nd to take its sweet time changing, even cruising slow it revs up before it changes
second problem is the auto doorlock after you reach 20+kmh it just doesnt stop trying to lock and unlock the doors!!even on a 5 hour drive! i think this may be because theres something wrong with the drivers door it doesnt lock!(gotta figure out how to fix this also)is there a fuse-relay i can remove to do away with this feature?

Sounds like your transmission is rooted or your speed sensor is faulty which happens but is unlikely. I'd say personally you'd need another transmission but it may also just need a transmission flush.
As for the door unlock or lock I'd say its either a loose or cracked wire leading to the door unlock switch or the fuse is on its way out.
Which Soarer do you actually have a jzz or a uzz series?

It will be a speed sensor (uzz31) never heard of a fuse "on its way out" James, they blow or stay connected.I would think the doors are playing up because of the speed sensor.

1992 Jzz30 Soarer. So where abouts on the gearbox is the speed sensor? Anyone have a part number so I can order a new one? I'm hopin I don't new to replace the gearbox
error code 67 is "over drive direct clutch speed sensor" i doubt it something as bad as the whole transmission being stuffed, i'd say one of the speed sensors (by the sounds of it there's an input and output one) is buggered, or even some of the wiring might be buggered, i'd be checking that first.
my soarer also has that door lock problem. once i get over 20k's constantly tries to lock it self. so i just lock it manually and its fine. i started to look into it but have just gotten used to it
