Hey guys, I've intermittently been getting this error 52 code pop up for the past few months now. But over the last 2 weeks it keeps happening basically every day after pulling the ecu fuse to reset it.
It's getting ridiculous now. Yesterday i pulled the connector off and tried to wipe inside of it as there was a bit of oil in there. But again this morning the error popped up.
What else can i do to try and stop this happening?
Is it dangerous if I just drive around with the connector unplugged?

Might be worth changing out the knock sensor as the car seems pretty insistent that there's a problem with it.
Knock sensor protects you from pre-ignition and ultimately from detonation by winding back the advance. So yes even if not "dangerous" it's certainly risky to run with it disconnected.

Hey Christian, yeah I remember reading about you fixing yours by removing the walbro pump, but I always wondered why are so many guys here using the same pump without issue so I'm not sure why it would only cause us problems. Just a coincidence that it fixed itself after you removed it perhaps? Or do you know for sure it was the pump?
I will need to run a larger pump than stock, so I really want to be sure there is something wrong with it before swapping it out...
And I've been trying to check if the knock sensor connector is loose, but I just can't get my hands to it...

Yeah them knock sensors are a prick. Id be checking the wiring back to the ecu. Find a wiring diagram of the pinouts to help you locate it, has your ECU been recapped?
I had similar knock sensor problem after i installed the Emanage, was just because i stuffed up the wiring to the knock sensors lol

Hey Robbie yeh i recapped the ECU over a year ago. I also installed an Emanage ultimate perhaps a few months before this problem started occurring, but I used the T-13 harness to hook it up, so there was no joining of wires etc on my behalf.
I did have to bend the harness around into a kind of awkward position over the ecu to get it all to fit inside the black plastic cover. Im hoping that hasnt caused a problem with the wiring...
