I've upgraded the exhaust on my TT soarer but the new exhaust doesn't have a place for the pyrometer that was in the stock. Is it ok to not have the pyrometer installed?

Think you will find it is an oxygen sensor for mixture control to the ECU so unless you are running an external tuned ECU that does not require the oxygen sensor I'd be getting a hole put in and a nut welded on for the oxy sensor mate.

Thanks a lot mate that's what i thought it was. I brought it to an exhaust shop to get a bung drilled in and they told me it was a pyrometer.

It's probably for the Catalytic converter over temp waning, not the oxygen sensor (unless you did the dump pipe from the turbos)

In which case, it should be fine.
