lol yeah crc them then you could try a crows foot puller and breaker bar but from memory last lime i did it i used the 2 spanners trick with a tap from the hammer to break them.

Hit them with a hammer to help loosen the corrosion but make sure you do not destroy the nuts otherwise you will not be able to get grip, do it while the socket is mounted on the nut.
Use quality good fitting sockets only and whatever you do, keep the angle correct otherwise once you slip once you will never get the same amount of grip on when you damage the head of the nut.
I also spray propane around the nuts to freeze them I have found sometimes this helps too.
find a way of getting more leverage on your tool, if you use Spanners, double them up but if you have not done this before careful as you can slip if you do not do it correctly.
If you are using a socket mounted on a breaker bar, see if you can find a steel pipe to slip over it to gave you more leverage.
You can also use a hammer or heavy weight to put instant force onto your tool but again be careful, the best way is just to get a tool on with a method of increasing leverage.
Be careful not to let your tools slip, the amount of hassle once this happens is simply not worth it and can be avoided if you take things easily.
You can get to all the turbo manifold bolts with the correct sized extenders and getting from the right areas, be extremely careful with the bottom ones.

Thanks guys, i have some backup coming around tonight. Should be able to get the manual and single turbo in.
I must be missing something, as i cant get the dump pipe off without taking the turbos out, and cant get to the rear turbo bolts because the dump pipes are in.

So i realised today when i was trying to remove the auto that their are 3 bolts that appear can disconnect more of the dump and hopefully make it easier to get a spanner in.
Ill give it a try tomorrow and see how i go. I also recommend a good set of mechanic gloves as i have already smashed my knuckles so many times!
In all honesty. i would be pulling the motor and gearbox out in one go, removing the twins, fitting single, fitting manual and installing. much simplier then what you are trying to do in the car.

Yea i wish it were possible Robbie, but unfortunately i don't have access to the tools, shed, and funds. If i did, absolutely pull the engine and gearbox out.
Although on another note, i removed the turbos today, i found it easier to separate both turbos from the manifolds. This worked for me by tackling the rear turbo from underneath the car. The best thing about dong it this way was pull and use weight to crack the bolts.

I found taking 1 manifold off and leaving another one on helped make it easier, but yes frequent trips down laying on the ground trying to get the nuts from underneath is a pain.

Yea my spanner worked in the end. I found trying to push down from in the engine bay didn't work at all. If you have trouble pull down from underneath the car.
