Hi ,wondering if anyone can recommend a decent 1jz mechanic on the central coast Gosford area ,my car is blowing enough smoke when cold to have me arrested by Greenpeace for a major enviromental catastrophe.

Ended up taking it to niall down at botany,it was the turbos blowing all the smoke.

Yeah they start leaking through the oil seals in the exhaust .

It was strange all the research I did pointed to valve stem seals or piston rings it only blew smoke for the first 5 minutes when it was cold and lots of it ,cheaper replacing turbos than pistons :-)

Yes , did it blow when first spooling on boost , but clear on full throttle as well ?

That's exactly what it did,no noise or loss of power whatsoever from the turbos ,why didn't I just ask u it would of saved me all those sleepless nights lol.
I pick her up tomorrow ,reconditioned turbos and dump pipe installed can't wait .
