Ok today i attempted to do a diag check on my 93 tt soarer but realised that i dont have a scroll button. So i tried anyways and the engine light just flashed and didnt display any sorta flashing codes. Dont know if its cause mines a original r154 or what. Help would be greatly appreciated as mines running abit rich and wanna check to see if the oxy sensor is working. One more thing mine has a twin pod intake setup and i cant see any airflow sensor am i supposed to have one on the jzz30???

the engine light flashing, is the code being displayed.

5 flashes, small pause 3 flashes long pause = error code 53. the long pause denotes the end of one code. if more flashes start it means you have more then 1 error code being thrown

its the same on most toyota's.

As Shane said & also if it just flashes quickly & continuously with no pauses it means there is no fault stored .

Was it a constant flash or a code flash? If it's a regular constant flash (I think it's once per second) then everything is normal

To test oxygen sensor you need to do it via one of the terminals on the diagnostic box in engine bay as fault codes normally wont show for oxygen sensor problems.
