Hi, i have been trying to find out what the a certain sound is associated with when i give the throttle a bit of a kicking sounds like backfire but no where near as loud more softer/fluffy i think it happens when its changing gears, hope that kind of explains the sound

if it is between gears, it is the engine retarding the ignition between gears so your trans doesn't get full power at the start of the next gear. The factory gear shift takes quite sometime. My fluttery gear change was no longer, once i installed a MV Automatics shift kitted valve body. The gear change is much faster now, so no flutter.
