I was driving yesterday and noticed the speedo wasn't going over 60km/h. it was showing 20kms at around 60 and no matter how hard I pushed it, the speedo wouldn't show over 60 The car was going much faster then that. Do these cars run a transducer in the box or wheel speed sensors? The rev gauge doesn't work, but it never has and the fuel gauge is not the most accurate. I've found some info on blinks dash but would like to check the sensors before I go into the dash. Any help would be great It's a 92 1jzgte auto.

there is a speed sensor that bolts onto the rear left hand side of the gearbox that can play up, and need replacing. A simple job, provided you can get under the car(hoist or axle stands. an auto sparky will get the rev counter working again(unlikely to be major) the inaccurate fuel gauge can be remedied. This site should have a link to it somewhere.

The description you have given Joushua, sounds to me like some one has swapped the dash over. Try another dash if you can. I have a few dashes laying around, but i live in Jamestown.
