Hi guys/girls. Well I thought I had sorted this problem out, now I'm not saying its not turbo's but I'm feeling this isnt the case. When I fitted kurts dump I swapped my old front turbo core (still fine) over to the rear and put a ebay seal kit through it, both turbo's have very minimal shaft play and knowing that I "should" have good oil seals ect in both makes me think the problem.may be something else. About 3 months ago it had smoked randomly at idle once, fairly good cloud, last few days there has been more smoke at idle when its hot but its happening every third or fourth time I let the car idle. Tonight I went to the service station with my ms and she followed, she said there was one puff when I gave it some stick out of a roundabout but as I pulled up to the servo and went around to the back of my car there was smoke pouring out, not a single puff on my way home and I let it idle in my driveway for almost ten minutes without a hint of smoke.. What's going on here guy's as this has me stumped and I cannot afford to go single turbo. I have a hunch that maybe its a blockage in the oil return for either or both turbo's hence why it is intermittent. My pcv is working properly, my p/s pump isn't pouring fluid into my intake and I dont believe its my valve stem seals as it should be doing it everytime although Im not getting clouds when on boost. Sorry for the long read, I'm hoping it made sense and that I have covered everything as Im stuffed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

First question, did you actually balance the turbo when you put the eBay seal kit? Strip and sand blast the core, balance shaft, and then reassemble according to balance / rotation setup?
In order of probability: 1. Turbo 2. Valve Stem Seals 3. Rings

The turbos have done well over 10k kms without a hitch. The cores i balanced myself by simply marking the turbine blades before dissasembly. I have worked out the problem and it has turned out to be the oneway valve on the p/s pump allowing ps fluid into my intake. Disconnected the car did not smoke a single puff for 3 days. Connected back up and instantly started smoking again. Mod can delete this thread now
