My car is making this noise which I think is from the cam gears as last owner said one of cam gear bolts fell off.

and I'm also getting the engine electrical error message on the dash. Could my timing from the cam gears be off and would that cause the error code?

He said he previously had an HKS Fcon ecu and it ran fine then. I opened up the stock ecu and didn't see any signs of leaking capacitors

So the noise comes and goes?

the engine sounds too clean to have cam timing out to me...

I had a timing belt whine from not setting the tensioner correctly..

Yea noise just goes away for like a minute or so and then comes back.

It's showing EFI error code 13 which from what I'm reading could be ECU or cam sensor or something. And it won't rev past 4000rpm. I tried a spare ECU I had and its giving same code.
