14.4 is also the ECUs boost cut. Im hitting boost cut on cold nights with just exhaust and pod (no boost controller, naturally hitting that high)

Take your car for a drive on the motorway @ 100kph. Hit the picks and quickly let go. It's not exactly that intense but you get a real good shake out of it. That's the best way I could really try to describe it...

Very similar yes. From my experience boost cut just hits you allot harder than speed cut. |

Oh man, I reached the speed cut a few times and it sure wasn't pleasant... Oh well, no way will I reach the boost cut on my stockie hehe, maybe in the future.

Same as rev limiter, just lock in 1st and give it a bootful Also the same as speed cut I don't suggest you test THAT! The same circuit is used for all three in the ECU.

1 bar is actually 14.7psi People have run more than that but it will deteriorate quicker. There was one guy running 23psi through them. He didn't make anymore power after upping the boost anymore. No idea how long they would last at that pressure but I wouldn't think too long. I would get a boost cut defender or an Apexi RSM and run 15psi. 11psi is for wusses! Get a full exhaust including dump pipes, BFI, FMIC, SAFC 2, 15psi and you should be over 200rwkw if it is tuned ok

Mark, what i want is an 'ignition' cut rather than the conventional injector cut. Probably safer under high boost and rpm, plus it sounds and looks extremely kewl =) Any ideas? Cheers, Cihan.

Doing an ignition cut is easy BUT it would have to be lower than the factory one as the factory one is just about impossible to get around. That's why MiNes are so good. They do it. If I ever manage to kill the factory limits then fitting an interceptor to do rev cut in the igniter drive would be relatively simple and possibly even progressive.

Mate apparently the emanage can reset the rev limiter.. I will have to try it when i get the thing installed completely. Apparently it does some sort of fudging, it would have to be complicated me thinks.

Cihan, I'm not going to get into a tech battle wiht ya, as you will beat my ass haha, but... I'm pretty certain that the Emanage cannot do anything to the rev limiter, my reasoning being that a big fuss is made about Mines full replacement ECU's as they are the only thing that can touch the rev limiter. In all my time browsing these forums too, I've never heard about it either. Cheers.

Yeah im having my doubts. Although how many people here have tried removing the rev limiter in the first place? I know manny has, but he's got a power FC full replacement. I dont know anyone else, apart from a few v8 guys? Cheers, Cihan.

Also a good idea if you up the boost that you zip tie all your small rubber lines that have manifold or after turbo pressure in them as they can leak which makes it act like a bleed valve and your boost increases even more. They can also blow off but you'll know when that happens.

Yes fuel based limiters are very boring... that's why i cant wait to get my Power FC Pro in, mmm dual stage ignition limiters. One thing i find very interesting is Toyotas move to ignition based limiters with the 2JZ-GTE... The audiable difference between a 1JZ and a 2JZ bouncing of the rev limiter is as clear as night and day, but only the 2JZ's makes you feel all fuzzy inside.
