Hi all,
I've just read on here that after changing the plugs, I should reset my ECU.. I wondered, since my ECU has been chipped and re-mapped, should I still do this?
I changed my plugs about 4000kms ago and didn't do this reset. The car has run fine up until recently where now it seems to be missing slightly when at full boost and under load (up-hill with 2 passengers). I thought something as simple as an ECU reset might be something to try?

By "ECU has been chipped" I assume you mean a piggy-back of some sort. The latter will retain its settings in some form of non-volatile memory. The main ECU retains its default settings in such memory. What it will forget when disconnected is everything it has learned beyond the defaults, so it will re-learn to the new situation and driving style.
Resetting the ECU is always worth a try because it is basically a cost-free action which solves all sorts of oddities. If it does not help then you still have the enormous advantage of a ready answer to all those people who suggest you reset your ECU

I've got no idea! I'm very ECU illiterate... The guy who sold me the car told me that it's the stock ECU and has been 'chipped and remapped'. It's running @15psi with hi-flo'd steel wheels.
Anyway, the car was already running very well so I never thought that this 'ECU reset' would do anything (since my car has already been 'tuned') but as I said above, lately, under load, it's been missing on boost. So I thought an ECU reset may fix the issue.
So last night I took it out to a deserted highway and did the reset and gave it a few hard starts. Wow! the thing kicks even harder now!
So tonight I'll get a few of the guys in the car and take it up a hill somewhere and see if it's still 'missing' under stress.

Also , If it may be misfiring under load and you say the boost is set at 15psi, Maybe the Ecu your running hasnt had the boost cut defender changed in it? Im pretty sure they are set at 14.7 or so..... Hence while under load you may be boosting a little too much and bringing the cut into play?

Yep, that's one idea that we had at the time - once I get my FMIC I will take it somewhere and get it tuned. The guy who I bought it off claimed that the boost was set to 13psi so we figured the cooler Tassie (night-time) air (the car was from MELB) may be the cause.
