Hi guys,
I have a JZZ30 TT on the way to the Northern Territory. Believe it or not, we never, ever use our heaters. Maybe, MAYBE for 3-4 very early mornings during dry season we might, but otherwise no.
Now, its common to remove the heater hoses and core (usually it gets hosed out and stored, the core I mean, or thrown away if its a commodore. Not that I'd own one.) because they are a great spot for leaking etc..resulting in pulling over, cursing etc...
My Question is : "How often should I run the Soarer heater for" i run the aircon EVERY SINGLE DAY in whatever car I/The Missus is driving.

Aaron, not the same issue. Running the A/C keeps the bearings and seals in good nick as there is oil in the refgrigerant gas.
For the heater, just make sure you use Toyota Long Life red coolant. Possibly turning the heater on occasionally would flush the coolant through to stop it getting stale in the heater.
You could possibly bypass the heater core, but removing it is a big job. probably best to have the coolant in it however to prevent rust etc.
